"Figments" is my 56 minute long thesis performance, where my dancers and I attempted the physical exploration of the following research questions:
1. How can dreams be represented through art?
2. Can I tell a non-linear story?
3. How does a psychological phenomena manifest physically? Does it spread, how and why?

Through creative movement tasks developed from research on physical theatre companies such as Goat Island and Punchdrunk, psychological research on Freud and the brain, historical research on the Dancing Plague of 1518, and examination of my own dreams and psyche. We developed a "dreamscape-like" environment and specific characters of that world that the audiences can follow on their physical journeys through this heightened reality (or theatrical unreality).

The piece was developed over 6 months, with a cast of 7 dancers who collaborated with me in the creation of the movement and characters as developed through tasks as mentioned above.
