About Me

I am a New York-based Artist who spent the better part of my twenties living, working, and studying abroad in multiple artistic capacities. I have an MFA in Choreography from the University of Roehampton in London and a BA in Theater Performance with a minor in Dance from Wagner College.  I have been working in the industry in a professional capacity for over a decade. I have experience directing/movement coordinating and choreographing performances for a wide range of events: plays, musicals, dance concerts, film, you name it! I am currently the Co-Artistic Director of the Free Mind Dance Collective in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

My passion for dance and movement has also led me to work as an educator. I love being able to share my knowledge and experience  to the next generation of dancers. I am an adjunct professor at Wagner College, teaching jazz dance. I aspire to be the teacher I never had, making dance accessible to all bodies and providing tools to develop strength to take care of the body in its longevity.

I hope to create memorable experiences through my work, that use tools of both theatre and dance to take the audience on a journey that makes you laugh, makes you cry and makes you think.

When I am not in the studio, you can find me dying my hair a new color, doing yoga in the living room with my cat, or watching re-runs of Charmed.

Selected Work

Here is a selection of some of the incredible projects I have had the opportunity to work on throughout my career. From international tours to local events, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with a variety of talented individuals and organizations. I hope to continue to work on exciting projects and to expand my portfolio in the future.

"Jasmine is able to inspire dancers who have less range as skillfully as she does the dancers who have been training since their early childhood. Her dancers were grateful to have had the opportunity to live in Jasmine’s movement world. Through her generous and inclusive pedagogy, she allowed the audience to experience the palpable joy she sparked in her company." - Theresa McCarthy, Head of Theatre Department, Wagner College
